Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures, (TLMAL) inaugurated India’s first-of-its-kind metal-to-metal bonding facility at Adibatla in Hyderabad, Telangana
TLMAL is a joint venture between Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) and Lockheed Martin. The facility is spread over 4,700 sq mtr. Over 80 skilled employees will work in this facility and can be expanded to support future work
TLMAL is also increasing the indigenization of C-130 manufacturing by transitioning the production of around 2,000 previously imported empennage parts to Tata Sikorsky Aerospace (TSAL). This is another Tata-Lockheed Martin joint venture located in the state. Earlier, these parts were manufactured by suppliers outside the country
Currently, TLMAL produces 24 C-130 empennages annually and employees 500 people
